All true believers, church neighbors and servants
of God scattered abroad. God did not call the church into existence for its’ own purpose to serve itself, or to remain
pious aggregation of people satisfied with their own existence. God created the church for his holy purpose, to serve him.
He called the church into existence; according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace which he freely
bestowed upon us in the Beloved [Ephesians, 1:10]. This is the mission of the church [John 20:21-23].
In order to carry out its’ mission, the
church is a teaching community bringing the word of God to bear upon itself and to others. In this way the church becomes
more of what it already is, a living fellowship, sharing the fellowship with the redeemed world in the hope that all may partake
of the inheritance purchased with Christ’s blood.
The lord
has not left the church unequipped for it s mission, to continue alone in its’ life and struggle. He has given the church
such resources as worship, fellowship, witnessing, ministry, and on eschatological hope. These rich resources are generated
and under girded by the spirit who created the church. The spirit of God unleashes his power through the means of grace, word
and sacraments, which serve as the divine dynamic through which empowers and sustains the church. This is a test of my faith
as well as yours. What’s the point in saying you have faith, if you can not prove it with your actions? Saying we have
faith merely in words and theory is not sufficient enough. We must show our faith and love through actions.
